A very safe city. Drink plenty of water and avoid walking in the sun between 11:00 and 16:00 in summer. During Ramadan don't eat, drink or smoke in public in daytime; many places change hours. Makkah is closed to non-Muslims: road checkpoints won't let you through.

常见骗局与风险
极端高温
5月至9月气温超过40°C。随时补水，戴帽子、涂防晒，走阴凉处，户外参观安排在清晨或傍晚。
法律严格
禁止在公共场合亲密举动，禁止在街上饮酒，对毒品零容忍（部分含可待因的药物需许可）。未经允许不要拍人，也不要拍政府建筑。
着装与尊重
在清真寺、集市和公共建筑内请遮住肩膀和膝盖；女性进入清真寺需遮盖头发。海滩以外避免过短或透明的衣服。
出租车
使用正规出租车站或固定价格的叫车应用。拒绝在机场到达大厅内主动揽客的车。
